Alright so I went out Sunday Night at this Bar in Alhambra CA. Quote:I have 0 knowledge on house music. Can someone explain to me what exactly 'classic' house means. For example the song Lady by Modjo, is that classic house?well for me.Classic House to me would be stuff between 93-97.Lady/Modjo, i would not consider it classic house although i've mixed it in my classic house set before, i would say its ok to play.but basically the tunes i mentioned and those ones that twinsouls mentioned are True Classic House to me.The ones I posted are just classics to me. I do not know what others would consider them. Each track had its own period of time where you could not go out (in NYC/East Coast Scene) without hearing it.That is why I consider them classics. But there are a lot of people out there with a much deeper house knowledge than I have.

All the true house artist from Farley, to Cajmere, to anything on the strictly rhythem label to all the artist of that time.there are different times for house music, like the classic era, then the booty era, the hard house era, and so on and so on.
